An updated version of the incredibly popular GX 7000, the DyeTrans GX e7700N offers powerful performance to the dye-sub industry with its amazing image color and quality, head-turning speeds, 4-color standard or high-capacity ink cartridge system, and versatile paper handling capabilities.
The GX e7700N's 4-color printing utilizes individual standard (approx. 29ml for CMY and 33ml for K) or high-capacity (approx. 60ml for CMY and 65ml for K) SubliJet-R™ sublimation gel ink cartridges. SubliJet-R is a specially formulated dye-sublimation ink for the Ricoh platform that produces brilliant, high-resolution color without the need for a separate bulk ink system. The printer's innovative GelSprinter™ hybrid laser and ink jet technology delivers laser printer speed at a very low cost per page. The GX e7700N can print an 8.5"x11" page in 25 seconds (compared to 1:51 for an Epson 1400, 1:48 for an Epson 4800, and 1:45 for an Epson 4880) and an 11"x17" page in 44 seconds (compared to 3:10 for an Epson 1400, 2:55 for an Epson 4800, and 2:48 for an Epson 4880). For maximum user convenience and productivity, the GX e7700N provides up to three paper sources - a standard 250-sheet paper tray (up to 11”x17”), an optional 250-sheet paper feed unit (up to 11”x17”), and an optional 100-sheet multi-bypass tray (up to 13"x19", banner paper, and mug paper). Media options include TexPrint-R™ (a special purpose paper made especially for the RICOH GX printers) and DyeTrans™ SPP. "This new printer supports an 11”x17” paper size right out of the box and 13”x19” via an optional bypass tray," stated David Gross, President of Condé Systems. "This larger 13”x19” size allows for transfer onto larger substrates and for ganging up smaller transfers onto one page to get the most from 16”x20” heat presses such as the Geo Knight DK20S."
