One of my adventures was farming for 8 years in MN. Just for fun I had restored a 1946 Farmall tractor model "H" (parade tractor not work tractor). I made a ceramic tile mural of a picture of the tractor grill using 6" tiles, 4 W X 6 H (24" X 36") and framed it with a pool stick holder for my game room. It turned out very nice looking and I sent an 8.5 X 11 glossy to a farm magazine to which I have subscribed for years. It looks like the project is going to be published in the magazine. It is a national magazine, not a local magazine. I just read the article as written by their writers from my description and write-up. They asked for my comments as to accuracy.There may be many people who would like a mural of their tractors, parents tractors or grandparents tractors done the same way. My method is that I glue the tiles together on a piece of butcher paper. After the high strength clear waterproof but water soluble glue dries (I make sure there is no excess showing in the joints) I remove the paper while sliding it on a piece of cement board. This means I don't have to grout and they seem to hold up well. The actual mural is quite detailed, especially the reflections you can see in the grill. The golden surround is from my last wheat field at harvest time. I used it to frame the grill and all that is explained in the article. Greg Trickey
