Back to School Tips

It is that time again; August is when all the kids are heading back to school and need the right supplies to get this year started on the right foot. No age group loves having their name on a backpack or notebook more than school-aged kids. Custom items are not only ideal for students, but teachers as well!

Making these products can be simple, however marketing them is where the work comes in. Unless you are the go-to sublimation expert in your city, you will most likely have to actively try to bring customers your way. One way to do this is to go to events in the community and actually advertise your “Back to School” products. If you can make a few parents excited about your products they will tell their friends, and trust us, word of mouth is the best maketing. Make sure you have social media pages for your business, allowing people to easily share your posts and tag their friends in the comments. Parents are BUSY, the more accessible you are, the better!

Students don’t just need new supplies and accessories in August, they need them all throughout the year. Between all of the different sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities, a school could be a major client to have on your list. During the year, you can be marketing your products towards not only the younger demographic, but teachers, coaches, and parents as well.

Try to set up a meeting with some of the coaches at a school and show them some product samples. A partnership with a school could take your business to the next level and open up a whole new world for you.
