Capping Station Cleaning: Virtuoso Printers for Dye Sublimation

Capping Station Cleaning: Virtuoso Printers for Dye Sublimation
Performing a capping station cleaning can be an integral part of maintaining your Sawgrass Virtuosos or the Ricoh printers. Performing a capping station cleaning for preventative maintenance can help extend the life of your printer, and it becomes especially important once it is needed for direct maintenance.

The common reasons you would want to set your sights on the capping station as the issue are as follows: breaks moving around in your nozzle check but not cleaning up; having a bad nozzle check, doing a cleaning and it clearing up and then a couple prints later, the nozzle clogs back up and the process repeats; if there are drag marks on the back of your print where the print head is dragging crud over, this will be on the right side during the feed process.

If you have any of these symptoms, we would recommend watching the video or calling technical support for assistance on cleaning your capping station for your sublimation printer. The items you will need to perform a capping station cleaning are as follows: denatured alcohol or a mixture of 50% water and 50% simple green cleaner (this method is recommended), a mouth syringe (one with no needle), a towel, cloth, or paper towel, and a small flat head screw driver or equivalent.
