Heat Press Instructions |
Hover transfer under open heat press for 10 seconds to dry excess moisture. Print one side of flag transfer right-reading. Print the second side in reverse. You will align the 2 transfers, one on top, one on bottom of the flag.1. Cover the bottom table of the press with a sheet of protective paper. 2. Place first transfer on bottom table, on top of protective paper. 3. Place substrate face up, with second transfer face down, on top of first transfer, on protective paper on bottom table. Align your transfers properly. 6. Press according to time, temperature, and pressure above. Application notes: Do not use any Teflon on the press. Dry the prints under the heat press without closing them for about 45 seconds checking occasionally to make sure it doesn't get too hot. Put blotting paper under and on top of flat flag and pre-press for 30 seconds. Make a "sandwich" of the flag with the two prints taking care with alignment. Secure the sandwich with a stapler on the fly and the staff. With the blotting paper still on the bottom of the press, Press with medium to heavy pressure for 1 minute and 30 seconds. If you have a full bleed color background and want to keep the staff white, trim away the paper or cover the staff with something that will block the ink (this is tedious and tricky.) If you attempt a full bleed coverage including the staff, the transfer will not be complete, especially around the grommets. |
