This 6" Bison gloss tile is a companion to a piece I made in 2009. The first tile was designed for a woman whose first grandchild had died shortly after birth to be given to the grieving parents. Her daughter and son-in-law had given her a Mother's day card with Jasper's tiny footprint. The tile simply had his footprint, the olive branch and the Chinese symbol for "Peace." On the Mother's Day card she received this year, her new grandson is honored similarly. For this tile, the symbol reads "Happiness."
