Multiple Paper Sources With Your Ricoh Printer
The GX7000 also adds the feature of a 2nd paper tray that will hold up to 250 sheets. With the Ricoh you can configure these extra paper sources to specific paper sizes. This will enable you to load each one with a different paper size and the printer will automatically pull from the proper supply.
The first thing you will need to do will be to configure the printer itself. You will want to assign not only the proper paper size but also the proper paper type from the menu of the printer. Also you will need to add the bypass tray to the “Auto Tray Select” function. On the PC you will want to make sure the paper source has “Auto Tray Select” selected when you print.
At this point all you have to do is select the proper paper size and print. With these settings the printer will select the proper paper source. This is a great time saver and takes a lot of the work out of printing. You will no longer have to change out the paper in the drawer every time you have to change paper sizes.
