"Pet Contest Entry" I am a strong believer in the "pay it forward" philosophy. During the summer of 2010, I was in dire need of veterinary care for my 2 dogs, but I was strapped for cash. I found "Our Hope Center", a low cost full service animal clinic in N. Ft. Myers. This is a clinic on a true "shoe string budget" of which ER Vets work at a reduced rate in order to provide superior, yet low cost pet care. The owner, Brandi Mikolak regularly accepts abandoned, neglected, & injuried animals. Out of her own pocket, she provides shelter, food, medication & surgery for these animals. In the past I have donated collars and bandanas to the clinic. After having to take my Gwenny for emergency care last Monday, I realized that the clinic needs advertising. Thus, I designed and printed these mugs. IF I should be fortunate enough to be a winner in this contest, I will use the credits to purchase more items that I can sublimate & donate to this very worthy cause.
