OUR INSTRUCTIONS ARE BASED ON USING A DK20S, DK3110 AND/OR A COUNTER TOP CONVECTION OVEN. TIMES AND TEMPERATURES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WHICH EQUIPMENT YOU USE.

Hover transfer under open heat press for 10 seconds to dry excess moisture.

Press with Heavy pressure for 1 minute 45 seconds

* In our testing the sheet has shrunk approximately 1/8” all around.


1) Lay protective paper on heat press platen.

2) Place the transfer image face up, on the bottom heat press platen.

3) Remove the blue peel coating covering the imaging side of the part. Some parts, especially guitar picks, may have a clear protective peel coating on the non-imaging side. Check for this and remove it prior to pressing. Place the part with the imaging side face down on the image. The glossier, shinier side is the imaging side.

4) Use Pro Spray or a small piece of heat tape to secure the part to the transfer along the edge of one side only. When using tape, cover the minimum area of the edge of the part to fasten it to the transfer. Too much extra, and you will see impressions of the tape on the imaged part. This is especially the case if you tape across the part instead of taping along a single edge.

5) Top with protective paper and press as above.

6) Open the press, take your part and transfer (keep them attached to each other), flip them over and lay them on the “cooling plate” metal and allow cooling for 60 seconds.

Note: The Accucutter line of cutters will work nicely with DyeFlex, including the Cornermate.


Note: Make sure your substrates are clean and lint free before you begin. If you need to wipe them use a lint and oil free cloth. When cooling the completed insert on the metal, make sure the entire surface of the insert is laid flat on the cooling metal; it will absorb the heat and make it flatten.
